Irakli Kurashvili was on a working visit in Sigulda.

On May 16, 2024, the Ambassador of Georgia to the Republic of Latvia, Irakli Kurashvili, was on a working visit  in Sigulda.   It should be noted that the city of Sigulda has been a sistercity with Chiatura since 2016. Within the framework of the visit, the Ambassador of Georgia held meetings with the mayor of the city Linards Kumski, the vice-mayor Kristaps Zalai and other leaders of the municipality. 

At the meeting with the mayor, it was noted that the city of Sigulda is interested in continuing cooperation with Chiatura and sharing its experience in various fields with other cities and regions of Georgia.

During the visit, the ambassador also got acquainted with local entrepreneurs, visited Sigulda public gymnasium, as well as toured the city's tourist and sports infrastructure.

  The city of Sigulda is one of the main cultural and tourist centers of Vidzeme region of Latvia. together with the Ambassador of Georgia The senior counselor of the embassy, Mikheil Sulaberidze, was in Sigulda.
