On March 21, 2024, the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Georgia to the Republic of Latvia, Irakli Kurashvili, held a meeting with the Minister of Economy of the Republic of Latvia, Viktors Valainis. The parties discussed the possibilities of strengthening the economic cooperation between the two countries. The Ambassador of Georgia thanked the Latvian side for actively supporting the process of Georgia's integration into the European Union. It was noted that the economic cooperation and trade turnover between the two countries is developing positively. Also, the wide opportunities in the field of tourism were emphasized. The Minister of Economy of Latvia expressed his interest to intensify business relations between the two countries and implement more investment projects. The Minister of Economy of Latvia stated that Latvia will continue to support the European integration process of Georgia.
